Robin and Marya are super excited to be your facilitators for the day. Sarah is our host and will welcome you to her beautiful surroundings at The Gorges.
As a client of both Marya and Robin’s, I was delighted when they came on board with my idea of welcoming ladies to my home for a day of self-discovery and self-care. “They are both intuitive and very professional people and this makes them experts in their fields of work. My life has changed for the better. I am excited for anyone who choses to work with them.”

Robin Wilson is a Health Coach, Wellness Practitioner and founder of Holistic Wellness in Havelock North. In 2014, after a lengthy career in banking, Robin began a new chapter of her life creating her business Holistic Wellness. Robin has always had a strong interest in nutrition and complimentary therapies and during the last four years of her banking career worked towards her next step studying both  complementary therapies and wellbeing.

Robin is the mother of two adult sons. Trying to juggle motherhood with a demanding career and the stresses of a seriously unwell husband eventually paid its price despite making significant changes to diet and exercise. In hindsight these changes predominantly related to the body aspect of wellness only. With a more limited development and implementation on the mind or spirit aspects,  the result was a personal health crisis some years later.
By deciding to implement more holistic changes to her life, Robin improved her wellbeing. This lead her to follow her passion of assisting others on their own wellness journey. Her approach focuses on the wellbeing of the whole person, rather than just the persons symptom.
Her personal experiences make her an invaluable source of knowledge and advice. After 4 1/2 years of being unwell, my health, mind body and soul is the best it’s ever been ”.

Marya Hopman is a personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist with her own studio in Taradale.  She has a long and varied work history as a journalist, PA, florist, horticulturist, business owner and direct marketer, but since retraining as a personal trainer in 2010 she feels she has discovered her purpose.  She’s not a gym junkie or fitness fanatic by any means – she’s a people person with a passion for functional fitness, which is simply fitness for everyday living.  Her strength and point of difference is her obsession is her clients truly understanding good posture, movement, and exercise technique.  She’s good at looking, listening and analysing and coming up with solutions that are right for the client!
She doesn’t “paint within the lines” and “follow the rules” but works with clients to discover new ways of doing things that work for them.
Marya has experienced the hardship of losing a child, a business and the lifestyle and the self-confidence that went with it.  This all led to a journey of self-healing and discovery and given her the courage and drive to live passionately and wholeheartedly with a strong desire to inspire others along the way.
“I have taken part in numerous fitness classes and joined gyms in the past, however this is the first time anyone has taken the time to show me, explain and check that I am performing the exercises correctly. I’m gaining consistently better health –  I even enjoy coming to the gym now!  Marya inspires and motivates me.   I see my sessions as my “health insurance” – they are vital for both my physical and mental wellbeing.”  – Emma Passey – Marketing Manager EIT
